Random arenas are full of people who want an excuse, any excuse, to cause trouble and call someone a noob/n00b/nub/n0000000b!!!11~!1!!oneone!!!eleven!!!

Just ignore them, true "n00b runners" are people who come in and only have running skills, who just run and run and run and run for a couple of hours. Strategic kiting/escaping from big sword-weilding, adrenaline-fuelled warrior is called preservation of life. Some people just get annoyed when they are being beaten by the little defenceless monk/mesmer/necromancer/ranger/elementalist.

I have Hamstring for runners, but on Ranger was also a monk and had remove condition. That pissed me off, even took our team forever to kill him.

It will ony get worse in Factions as Arena Net doubles certain running skills.

same happened to me we were the only 2 still alive i would smack him with Hamsting+bullstrike he would just use his escape storm skills. Was actually quite funny there entire team was yelling at me saying he was only 9 and i should give up cuz he does this for 2hours somtime but i didn't want to let the bugger win so i chased him for 50some odd mins til he sliped up ran into a wall and i bodyblock and killed him was my funniest moment for me in pvp him running into a wall :P.

When I'm insulted by the enemy team in Random Arenas I often take that as the highest indication that I'm doing a good job (nasty mesmer with lots of annoying hexes).

I see running as a viable tactic when your team still has a chance. However, it's really annoying when one warrior or ranger has survived and they just run around the arena for as long as they can in hopes of the enemy team rage quitting.
When I monk in RA, I generally bring skills that make it to my advantage to stay still while a war pounds on me. Running around trying to spread heals gets pretty inconvenient and it can make my team's job easier if I stay put.

Yeah RA sometimes it is nice to go in as a "tank" when monking, let their team descend on you and then your team take them out while they all hit on the monk. You don't need a 55 build to do it either - though I've seen that before, silly wammo still hitting a monk after SoJ goes up and they wonder why they are dying...
But seriously to the OP, kiting is a must for a monk in most arenas. RA is a little different because you can't predict what team you will be in or what team you will be facing, but nonetheless there is nothing wrong with not letting a wammo beat you silly.

i've met one of those before =/ was a touch ranger who had 2-3 running skills on her -.- and kept running for 80minutes, which at that point my team had already left and i was left, so i just let her kill me and you'll never guess what she said when i did that... "NOOB!!!1!!! HAHA" and throughout the match would flash her rank emote. some people just don't seem to realise that the arenas is not like a run in PvE. though i don't mind the people who run just to regen and try have a 1v1

Letting runners get away with griefing means that your team wasn't well prepared to counter it. There are heaps of anti runner skills.

Hamstring, Cripple, Pin Down, Crippling Anguish, Imagined Burden, Traps etc. and every single HP degen spell in the game.

I can't imagine not having something better do with my two and half hours than run around in circles or sit there swearing at somebody running around in circles...
